Home / Getting started / Extend your Cyric Environment
Although it is not a requirement to be able to run Cyric, extending your environment allows you to perform Cyric tasks simultaneously which means increasing your productivity.
Adding a switch of 24 ports means that you can run at least 24 devices next to each other!

Generation 2
The hubs are meant to unify the input required by Cyric. As you might know, every device requires a network cable and a bootable USB to be able to start Cyric. Using a hub can simplify things by using a single USB cable. This also prevents connector clips attached on the network cable from breaking which happens on about 90% of all cables.
The USB cable of the hubs can also be swapped with a USB-C variant, which comes in handy for devices that only allow USB-C input.
